Maintenance Worker/Electromechanical Technician | Full time (40h week) | Monday to Friday noon | Possible overtime

As a Maintenance Worker/Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment at the plant.

 

More specifically, you will be required to:

 

  • Ensure the preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment (motors, electrical systems, machines, pneumatic tools, etc.);<
  • Maintain and inspect the grounds and buildings;
  • Perform basic maintenance and inspection of vehicles and forklifts;
  • Intervene during production stops to minimize downtime;
  • Install new equipment and ensure its commissioning;
  • Participate in the assembly, wiring, and implementation of electrical and mechanical devices;
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize the performance of installations;
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure their compliance in all interventions;
  • Write intervention reports and follow up on the work carried out;
  • Propose continuous improvements for the optimization of equipment and maintenance processes.

The experiences and qualifications sought:

  • Training in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or a similar field;
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as an electromechanical technician;
  • Experience in an industrial environment (an asset);
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems;
  • Proficiency in diagnostic and troubleshooting tools (multimeter, cable analyzer, etc.);
  • Experience in welding;
  • Ability to work independently while being an integral member of the team;
  • Rigor, sense of organization, and ability to work under pressure;
  • Respect for safety standards and good knowledge of industrial hygiene rules;
  • Availability to work staggered hours or in a team (depending on production needs).
